Mrs. Ruth “Betsy” Fisher Bovill, age 80 of Cleveland passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born in Bronx, New York City, New York on April 28, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny Fisher. Mrs. Bovill was a homemaker and a very active member of the Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. Mrs. Bovill received Jesus Christ into her heart at the age of 13 and was a soul winner leading hundreds of people to know the Lord. She was preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Fisher and sister, Molly Fisher.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Wesley Bovill, Cleveland; daughters and son-in-laws, Leslie and Tony Baker, Cleveland; Sharon and Steven Saccoccia, Cumming, GA; Lauren and Kerry Olson, Cleveland; brother, Walter Fisher, San Franciso, CA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces; and 2 nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. The Rev. Doug Merck, the Rev. Bob Williamson, and the Rev. Chris Pearce will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Mt. Yonah Baptist Church from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.
