Ruth Standridge Rogers

Mrs. Ruth Standridge Rogers age 95 of Cleveland passed away Friday April 6, 2007 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health. Mrs. Rogers was born in Hall County the daughter of the late Branson and Lona Caroline Staton Standridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Rogers, brothers, Ben Standridge, Dewey Standridge, Fred Standridge, Howard Standridge and great grandson, Jacky Ray Holland. Mrs. Rogers was a retired lunchroom manager for White County Schools and a member of County Line Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Laquita Holland, Gainesville, Angela Nix, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Floy and Sid Crowe, Cleveland, Margarette and Ron Wiley, Lula, Rebecca and Steve Davis, Athens; son, James Rogers, Cleveland; sisters, Jane Brown, Cleveland, Dot Dorsey, Gainesville: brother, Talmer Standridge, Cleveland; brother and sister in law, Bud and Louise Standridge, Clermont; sister and brother in law, Vera and Willis Garrett, Gillsville; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday April 9, 2007 at County Line Baptist Church. The Rev. Mike Irvin and the Rev. Loyd Martin will officiate. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 P.M. Saturday and Sunday at the funeral home.
