Ruthlene M. Savage

Ruthlene M. Savage, age 76 of Lula, passed away Saturday, July 07, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Savage was born January 1, 1936 in Cleveland, GA to the late Fletcher and Dorthy Abernathy Magness. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Magness, Carlous Magness, Jerry Magness, Harold Magness; sister, Martha Magness Owens. Survivors include her husband, Rev. J.R. Savage, Lula; daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Wayne King; Shirley and Cliff Bruce, all of Lula; daughter, Roma Reeves, Lula; grandchildren, Christopher and Cindy Border; Stephanie Gray; Bradley and Dixie Motes; Ryan Reeves; Jenna Reeves; great grandchildren, Kaylee Border, Caitlynn Motes; Emily Motes; Tyler Holloway Border; Madison Gray; Abbie Gray; brothers, Ricky Magness, Cleveland; Robert Magness, Alto; Garvice Magness, Anderson SC; sister, Josephine Sutton, Cleveland; 5 step grandchildren; 2 Step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 Monday, July 9, 2012 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Josh Chatham, the Rev. Michael McIntyre, the Rev. Danny Kastner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Forrester officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
