Sadie Cox

Sadie Cox, age 93 of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021. Mrs. Cox was born in Gainesville to the late Walter Powers and Laura Bell Peck Powers. She was retired from Jack P. Nix Primary School where she worked in the cafeteria. In addition to her parents, Sadie is preceded in death by her husbands, Guy Palmer, Gene Whitlock and Herbert Cox; children, Larry Palmer, Carolyn Pressley, and Gary Palmer as well as numerous siblings. Survivors include her children Terry Palmer, of Cleveland and Gail Cox, of Tyrone, GA; brother, Joe Powers; grandchildren Stephen, Stephanie, Scottie, Sissy, Timothy, Elizabeth, Megan, Pam, Beaver and Fay; along with numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
