Sandra McAfee

Sandra McAfee, age 76, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Mrs. McAfee was born on December 23, 1949, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Clarence Ray Nix and Frances Cox Nix. She was a retired clerk for White County Probate Court and a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin McAfee.

Survivors include her children, David McAfee (Dawn), and Erin and Jamie Austin; grandchildren, Harley McAfee (Micah), McKayla Austin, Jaycelin Austin, Nathaniel Austin, Camryn McAfee; great-grandchildren, Kolson and Maylee Wheeler; sisters, Geneva Williams, Linda Kanady (Tom), Judy Lawson (Greg); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cleve and Pat McAfee and Jerry and Pam McAfee; many extended family members, cousins, nieces, nephews, and her Mt. Yonah Baptist Church Family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Mt. Yonah Baptist Church. Pastor Marc Turner, the Rev. Ross Roberts, and the Rev. Doug Merck will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Yonah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the church, prior to the funeral service.
