Mrs. Sara Faye Moss Padgett, age 89 of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, October 05, 2007 at the Lanier Park Campus of Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Cleveland County, North Carolina on March 01, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. and Beulah Frances Carner Moss. Mrs. Padgett was a graduate of Gardner-Webb College in Boiling Springs, North Carolina and was a homemaker for many years before opening a small laundry business in Naples, Florida with her husband. Mrs. Padgett has lived in Cleveland for the past 20 years and was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rush E. Padgett and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard G. and Jane Lee Padgett, Brooksville, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Faye and L.C. McCauley, Jasper, Alabama; daughter, Terry Padgett, Cleveland; sisters, Frances Nordfelt, Millbrae, CA; Bonnie Kincaid, Cumming, Georgia; grandchildren, Allen Padgett, Suzanne Padgett, Brooksville, Florida; Randy McCauley, Royston; Marsha Purves, Jasper, Alabama; Pam Lindsey, Cullman, Alabama; Amy McCauley, Nashville, TN; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 07, 2007 in the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Mike Davis will officiate. Mrs. Padgett’s wishes were to be cremated.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Sunday.
