Sara Mckibben Sledge

Sara Lynn McKibben Sledge, age 96 of Sautee, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018.   Mrs. Sledge was born on March 13, 1921, in Edwardsville, Alabama, to the late General Forney and Gussie Hurst Bennett. She worked in customer service for C&S Bank and was a member of Northeast Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Sara was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert McKibben and Edgar Sledge; grandson, Brian Green; 2 brothers and 7 sisters; son-in-law, Brent Kirkland.   Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Leslie Green, Sautee, and Lynn and Bill Trotter, Dacula; grandchildren, Katherine and Matthew Stancil, Samuel and Hannah Kirkland, and Abigail and Joseph Fernandez; 12 great grandchildren.   Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Saturday, February 17, 2018 at The Chapel of Westview Cemetery -1680 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. Interment will follow the service in Westview Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:00 P.M.
