Sarah Bell Brooks

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Sarah Bell Brooks, age 70 of Sautee, who passed away Monday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Brooks was born in White County to the late Barnett and Dora Mae Adams Chastain. She was preceded in death by sister, Emily Bloodworth; and brothers James Chastain and Howard Chastain. Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Faith. Survivors include husband, Earl Brooks, Sautee; son and daughter in law, Dennis and Christine Brooks, Greensboro, NC; sisters Bea Bacon, Dunwoody, Jewell Brookshire, Cornelius, NC, and Joan Cole, Leesville, LA; brothers, Arthur Chastain, Cornelia and Coleman Chastain, Sautee. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Thursday, July 31, 2008 from Nacoochee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Donald Grizzle will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
