Sarah Frances Jackson

Sarah “Frances” Odom Jackson, 82, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. Mrs. Jackson was born on December 11, 1940, in Colquitt County, to the late J.B. Odum and Myrtice Durley Freeman. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by one daughter and 3 sisters. Frances worked in the cotton mill industry most of her life. When she wasn’t at work you could find her on the bank fishing. She would be spending time with loved ones, making dinners, and biscuits. Frances loved and knew Jesus and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Left in love includes her husband of 43 years, Owen “David” (OJ) Jackson, Jr.; daughters, Robbie Watkins, Janet Gagne (Larry), Wanda Swain, Ree Rachalla (PJ); son-in-law, Glen McDaniel (Shirley); sister-in-law, Caroline Walters; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 29, 2023 at Woodlawn Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Aubrey Kerby and the Rev. Jeremy Kastner will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 4:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
