Sarah Mann

Sarah Ellen Vollrath Mann, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Mrs. Mann was born on January 18, 1944, at the Fort McPherson Army Hospital in East Point, Georgia, to the late Sgt. Irvin Romaine Vollrath, a veteran of WWI and WWII, and the late Jennie Madeline Lashley Vollrath. Before Sarah had children, she worked for the Georgia Department of Revenue. After becoming a mother, she was a homemaker while she raised her children, and later worked with her dear friend, Rita, at Unicoi. Sarah loved being a mother and a Mimi, and God blessed her with four daughters, Jennie, Maria, April, and Catherine. Spending time with her family brought her so much joy and happiness. One of the highlights of her day was enjoying her phone calls with her daughter Jennie.

She attended Generation Church in Cleveland, GA. She loved worshiping the Lord. You could always hear her singing to Jesus throughout the house and in her car. She was a mighty prayer warrior and bold in her faith. She shared the love of Jesus and prayed for people everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mann; siblings, Earl Vollrath, Norvall Vollrath, Paulette Gorman, and Edwina Shaw.

Survivors include her children, Jennie and Joseph Pilgrim, April Mann, Maria and Tony Kent, and Catherine Mann; grandchildren, Taylor and Cody Murray, Peyton Myers, and Sarah Myers; great-grandchildren, Adalyn Murray, Briella Murray, and Oaklyn Murray; sisters, Tonia Anding and Prue Liepelt.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
