Seaborn James Nix

Mr. Seaborn Nix, age 78, of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at North Fulton Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Nix was born in White County the son of the late Joe and Irene Turner Nix. At age 3 months his mother died and Mr. Nix was raised by his dad and Zena and Jess Hunt. He was preceded in death by sons, Kenneth Nix and Jeffrey Nix. Mr. Nix was a farmer and member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Gracie Nix, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Brenda and Danny Palmer, Cleveland; daughter in law, Janice Nix, Cleveland; grandchildren, Selena and Rod Nix, Kevin and Brittany Nix, all of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Tripp Nix, Tyla Nix, both of Cleveland. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Thursday in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner, the Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate.
