Shirley Barnes Alexander

Mrs. Shirley Barnes Alexander, age 54 of Cleveland passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Alexander was born in White county to the late Ernie and Adell Gerrells Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer Alexander. She was a textile worker in the retail clothing industry and was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters: Earnestine Crane and Idell Cantrell, both of Cleveland; aunt and uncle: Claud & Betty Gerrells, Cleveland; aunt: Lorene Lewis, Cleveland; nieces and nephews: Kim & Chris Boykin, Gainesville; Tina Crane, Cleveland and nephew and niece: Thomas & Wanda Crane, Cleveland; great nieces & nephews: Chauncey Boykin, Blakeley Hulsey, Makayla Hulsey, Sarah Ramirez, Trinity Sanchez and Roshawn Sims. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 from the Barrett Chapel with the Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. Visitation will follow immediately after the service.
