Shirley Bruce

Shirley Savage Bruce, age 69 of Lula, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Mrs. Bruce was born in Gainesville, GA on April 16, 1957, to the late Rev. J.R. and Ruthlene (Magness) Savage. She was a secretary at a dental lab and a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bruce is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Clifford Bruce, daughter-in-law, Cindy Border; sister, Diane King; great niece, Madison Gray.

She is survived by her son, Chris Border; granddaughter, Kaylee Smith (Will); great granddaughter, Shilee Smith; sister, Roma Reeves; nephews and nieces, Ryan and Megan Reeves, Jenna Reeves, Stephanie and Josh Roberts, Bradley Motes; brother-in-law, Wayne King; great nieces and nephews, Caitlynn Motes, Emily Motes, Abigail Gray; great-great niece Maddylynn Agler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 14, 2026, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Josh Chatham will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
