Sloan Satterfield

Sloan Satterfield, age 69 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 17, 2012 at Habersham Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Satterfield was born June 25, 1943 in Gainesville to Mendia Savage Satterfield and the late Almon Satterfield. He was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Wayne Tench, Alto; daughter, Trina Paul, Cleveland; mother, Mendia Satterfield, Cleveland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred and Harold Fuller, Dale and Jerry Skelton; Debbie and Charles Jarrard; Sandra and Ed Clark, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Melinda Sloan Tench and Christopher Jones. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. John Reece, the Rev. Mike Irvin and the Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will follow at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
