Stella Mae Wallace

May 25, 1930 — November 19, 2025

Stella Mae Wallace, age 95, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025

Stella was born on May 25, 1930, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to the late Roy Potts, Sr. and Martha Cohen Potts, where she met and married the love of her life. Together, they raised four children. In 1960, the family moved from Pittsburgh to Hollywood, Florida, where they built a wonderful life and community. Stella enjoyed many years working at Sears in the Hollywood Mall. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Cleveland, Georgia, in 1986 with her daughter Christine, her family, and her granddaughter Rebecca. She became an active member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where she found friendship, purpose, and faith. Stella had a gift for jigsaw puzzles, there wasn’t one she couldn’t finish. She also had a sweet tooth and loved a good, thick chocolate milkshake, especially when a grandchild visited. Every evening, she enjoyed a bowl of vanilla ice cream, a simple joy she rarely missed. Stella made a lasting impact on everyone she met with her warmth, generosity, sassiness, and unwavering love. Above all, she cherished her family, who were the center of her world. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the memories she leaves behind.

In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Wallace; son, Dennis Gene Wallace; and siblings, Roy Potts, Jr. and Norma Jean Miller.

Survivors include her daughters and spouses, Linda Spearman, Donna and Donald Stockwell, and Christine and Keith Horn; grandchildren, Rebecca Allison, Shannon Tribble (Stephen), Tiffany Aikens (Steven), Dustin Crance (Catherine), and Sabrina Burrell (Josh); great-grandchildren, Jessa Williams (Michael), Jenna Allison, Braden Allison, Jalyn Allison, Emerson Tribble, Chase Tribble, Laurel Aikens, Beauman Crance, Wells Crance, Hayes Crance, and Holden Burrell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
