Sylvia O. Carter

Sylvia O. Carter, age 84 of Hiawassee formerly of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017.   Mrs. Carter was born January 8, 1933 in Browns, AL to the late Clyde and Linnie Olds. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was of the Baptist Faith.   Survivors include her husband, Davis S. Carter Sr.; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Henry Chambers; Carol and Keith Bangs; Wanda and Jack Shelton; son, David S. Carter Jr.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gwen and Roy Cook; Margaret and Harold Wells; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.   The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Friday, June 2, 2017 at the funeral home.   Online condolences can be made to the family at barrettfh.com.   Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland.
