Ted Anthony Abernathy

Ted Anthony Abernathy, age 44 of Bremerton, WA, formerly of Cleveland, GA, passed away Friday, July 12, 2013. Mr. Abernathy was born September 23, 1968 to Elizabeth and the late Davis Abernathy. Ted was raised in Cleveland, GA. He was a well-known and respected real estate broker in Kitsap County, WA and in 2004 was awarded Realtor of the Year. He had recently opened his own company, Sterling Property Group, with partner and friend Rick Slate. Ted was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Cleveland, GA where he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior as an 8 year old boy. He was attending Sylvan Way Baptist Church in Bremerton, WA. Mr. Abernathy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ned and Carrie Abernathy and Ed and Mary Meeks, brother-in-law, Richard Adams. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Elizabeth Jones Abernathy; sons Bradley, Luke and Ben; all of Bremerton, WA; mother, Elizabeth Abernathy, Cleveland, GA; sister, Missy Adams, Cleveland, GA; brother, Steve Abernathy; Kingsport, WA; nieces, Autumn and Rylee; nephews, Jeb and Mac. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 17 at Miller-Woodlawn Cemetery, Bremerton, WA. Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m. at Silverdale Lutheran Church.
