Terry Watkins

Michael “Terry” Watkins, age 62, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020. Mr. Watkins was born on July 20, 1958, in Hall County, to the late Rev. Willis and Roena Nix Watkins. He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parent, Terry was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Walden. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Ellen Watkins, Cleveland; daughter, Amanda Watkins, Cleveland; Daughter and son-in-law, Vanessa and Allan Christy, Cleveland; grandchildren, Austin Durham, Jessie Durham, Colton Christy, Ethan Anderson, Cayden Anderson, and Logan Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Linda Watkins, Cleveland and Gary and Diane Watkins, Gainesville; brother-in-law, Tommy Walden, Lula. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Phillip Robinson, the Rev. Robert Nix, and the Rev. Spencer Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. W.A. Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. & 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
