Thelma Gay

Thelma Gay, age 94 of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Gay was born August 19, 1920 in Dahlonega to the late Lee and Ella Head Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her son Lee Gay, sister and brother-in-law, Estelle and Dan Tomasulo. Survivors include her husband, Charles Clark Gay Sr., Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Clark Gay Jr. and Ann Gay; Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Rebecca Travis Gay Sneed and Thomas Montgomery Sneed; Charles Clark Gay III and Katie Gallagher Gay; Hawkins Clark Gay; Susan Sadler Stafford and Zachary Adam Stafford; Rebecca Gay Evans and Thomas Lawrence Evans; Hawkins Clark Gay, Joseph Usher Gay; great grandchildren, Emma Travis Caulkins, Archer Dane Caulkins, James Guthrie Sneed, Adelaide Lee Gay, Charles Clark Gay IV; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Barbara Anderson; Glad and Evelyn Anderson. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carol Cantrell for her care of Mrs. Gay. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, November 14, 2014 at Cavender’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. A private family visitation will be held.
