Thelma Holman Simmons

Mrs. Thelma Holman Simmons age 82 of Cleveland passed away Saturday February 10, 2007 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs Simmons was born in White County, Georgia on October 19, 1924 the daughter of the late Comer and Estelle Cagle Holman. She lived all of her life in White County and was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Simmons, Cleveland; son & daughter in law, Wendell & Deborah Simmons, Seattle, WA; daughter & son in law, Wanda & Julian Buckner, Charleston, SC; daughter, Connee Simmons, Braselton: granddaughters, Nicole Ivankovic, Seattle, WA, Diane Lawrence, Braselton; brothers, Rev. Clyde Holman, Gainesville, L.J. Holman, Cleveland; 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday February 14, 2007 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dave Fortner and the Rev. Terry Head will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Sunday and 6-9 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
