Theresa Irene Long

Theresa Irene Long, age 75, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Mrs. Long was born on November 24, 1950, in Upson County, Georgia, to the late Milton and Ruby Rogers Bassett. She was a retired school secretary for DeKalb County School System and author of the book “My Broken Crayons.”

Survivors include her husband, Dave Long; daughters, Kelli Kane (Jeff), Amy Kirby (Stanley), and Elizabeth Long (Damon); sister, Judy Hildebrand; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2026, at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Barry Bray will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 3, 2026, at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
