Thomas Joseph Cleveland

Mr. Thomas Joseph Cleveland, age 79 of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2013 at New Horizons in Gainesville. Mr. Cleveland was born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Hushel and Agnes Walsh Cleveland. He is preceded in death by wife, Barbara Cleveland, and brother, Joseph Cleveland. Mr. Cleveland served in the U.S. Navy and retired in law enforcement. He spent 26 years as a Sargeant in the Plainfield, NJ Police Department and was the past President of the Police Benevolent Association. He also spent 11 years on the Cleveland Police Department. Mr. Cleveland was also a member of the Elks Club in New Jersey. Survivors include daughter and son in law, Chandra White and Eric Curran, Greenville, South Carolina; son, Thomas Cleveland, Jr., Helen,GA; brothers, Fred Cleveland, Marshall, Virginia, and John Cleveland, Marysville, Ohio; and granddaughter, Britney Dunnebacke, Greenville, SC. Memorial Services are scheduled for 3P.M. Friday, January 10, 2014 from Barrett Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-3 P.M. Friday before the Memorial Service.
