Timothy Henderson

d. December 18, 2024

Timothy Henderson, age 56, passed away Wednesday, December 18 after a long and tenacious battle with multiple cancers. Tim grew up in the Blue Creek area of White County where he was the baby of the family. After graduating high school, Tim went on to become an interior designer and worked for By Design. He later took those artistic talents to film where he was the stage manager for shows such as Halt and Catch Fire, Sleepy Hollow, and most recently The Resident. With a zest for life, Tim travelled throughout the United States and the world. He shopped at Louis Vuitton in New York, sipped martinis in Italy, and marveled at the Great Wall of China. He travelled extensively throughout Europe and South America, but his greatest joy in life (second to his shoe collection) was the title of Uncle Timmy. Tim was the uncle every niece and nephew could ever hope for. In more recent years, cancer and the treatments took Tim’s ability to speak. But never his spirit or his ability to communicate. Tim was never known for being shy with his hand gestures or his facial expressions. Tim had a smile that could rival the Cheshire Cat and he had a heart of gold. He had a great love for his family, for Cher, and for Dolly Parton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray Henderson and Pattie Jones Henderson; brothers, Chris Henderson, Alan Henderson, and (infant) Richard Dallas Henderson; niece, (infant) Emily Caudell; and nephew, Clint Caudell. Tim is survived by his brothers and sisters, Debbie and Robert Bowers, Mark and Mary Henderson, Robin and Danny Caudell, Jeff “Pete” and Setsuko “Sarah” Henderson, and Dr. Alberta Henderson and Dan Chapman. He is also survived by several special nieces and nephews including, Kyle Henderson, Kayte Schaly, Jake Henderson, and Sean Henderson. Tim never missed a chance to help others. His wishes were to be donated to Emory University School of Medicine for the advancement of medical education and a celebration of his life will take place in the Spring.
