Timothy Paul Ragland, age 62 of Dahlonega, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020. Mr. Ragland was an avid historian and Commander of Lumpkin Counties Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1860 for 22 years. Mr. Ragland was born October 6, 1958 in Cornelia, GA to the late Phillip Sidney Ragland and Jonnie Christine White Ragland. Timothy was the owner and operator of Gold City Gun and Cartridge and was a former school bus driver for Lumpkin County School System. He was a true Son of the South. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Sidney Ragland Jr. Survivors include his wife, Tracey Ragland, Dahlonega; brother, John Charles Ragland; Dahlonega; stepdaughter, Christy Wallace; numerous cousins in White County and surrounding areas. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 20201 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Morris will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
