Unzell Dorsey Palmer

Mrs. Unzell Dorsey Palmer, age 76, of Douglasville, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Palmer was born on February 22, 1931 to the late Chester and Wilma Glass Dorsey. She was born in White county and worked as a manager in the restaurant industry. She was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Palmer; husband, Browdus Palmer and a brother, Earl Dorsey. She was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist. Survivors include: sons: Gerald Palmer, Richard Palmer, Jeff Palmer and Greg Palmer all of Douglasville; daughter: Sylvia Galloway, TN; step-daughter: Joyce Palmer Abee Gastonia, NC; sisters, Louise Savage, Lula, Betty Esford, Cleveland; brother, Edsel Dorsey, Gillsville; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2007 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Interment will follow at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday at the Funeral Home.
