Urania Chastain

Daisy Urania Henderson Chastain, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018.   Mrs. Chastain was born April 27, 1931 in White County to the late John Henry Henderson and Zora Burke Henderson. Urania was a homemaker and a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Chastain; brothers, John Henderson, Albert Henderson, L.D. Henderson, Ray Henderson and Jim Henderson; and sisters, Dora Fortner, Carrie Roland, Mary Cantrell and Eula Roberts.   Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James Rondal and Sheryl Stephens Chastain, Cleveland; Gregory Keith and Laura Turner Chastain, Gainesville; grandchildren, Chelsey Chastain Hogan and Jason Hogan, Cleveland and Jordan Gregory Chastain and Kelsey Chastain, Chattanooga, TN; great-granddaughter Olivia Hogan, Cleveland; and special friend and caretaker, Valorie Ash.   Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson, the Rev. Bill Gravely and the Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate. Interment will follow at Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Flynn officiating.   The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, White County Relay for Life, 2565 Thompson Bridge Rd.
