Vera Simmons Ridder

Mrs. Vera Simmons Ridder, age 83, of Lilburn, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from Peachtree Christian Hospice. Mrs. Ridder was born to the late Clarence and Mary Lou Dorsey Simmons. She was preceded in death by brothers, Howard A. Simmons, Clarence W. Simmons Jr, Harrison R. Simmons and Augustus W. Simmons. Mrs. Ridder was a secretary and a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. Survivors include husband, Ted Ridder, Lilburn; and sisters, Margaret S. Howington, Gainsville and Latrelle Simmons, Cleveland. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 from Barrett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in Mossy Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM Friday at the funeral home. Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland.
