Mr. Vernon B. McGee age 75 of Cleveland passed away Wednesday October 1, 2008 at his residence following complications from Lewy Bodie Dementia.
Mr. McGee was born May 15, 1933 in White County to the late Price and Bonnie Palmer McGee. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Manda Lou McGee. Mr. McGee is a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a farmer and was retired from Talon, Inc. He was a former White County Commissioner from 1989 to 1992 and was a board member of the White County Farmers Exchange. Mr. McGee was a Deacon and member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Ruth McGee, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Verlene and Allen Jackson, Doris and Randall Beck, LaVerne and Richard Jackson; all of Cleveland; grandsons, Will Jackson, Ben Jackson, Corey Beck, Bucky Jackson, Ric Jackson; all of Cleveland; granddaughter, Courtney Beck, Cleveland; sister and brother in law, Eunice and Horace Duvall, Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday October 3, 2008 at Shoal Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Loyd Martin, Dr. Joe Vernon, Rev. Hal Smallwood and Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
