Virginia Sisk Black

Mrs. Virginia Sisk Black, age 83, of Sautee passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at Northeast GA Medical Center Lanier Park Campus following an extended illness. Mrs. Black was born on September 11, 1924 in White county to the late Omer Sisk and Elizabeth Sosebee Sisk. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allan Black, Sr., sisters: Ruth Grisham, Nancy Miller and brothers: Joe Sisk and Martin Sisk. She was a homemaker and was a member of Nacoochee United Methodist Church. Survivors include: daughter and son in law: Bette Lou and Wayne Pilgrim, Sautee; Sons and daughter in laws: Allan “Buggs” and Donna Black, Sautee and Phillip “Flip” and Donna A. Black, Sautee; brother and sister in law: Harold and Troyce Sisk, Monroe; grandchildren: Beth Kastner, Jan Black, Jeremy Black all of Sautee, Cari Adams, Lula, John Davidson, Joe Black and Mark Pilgrim all of Cleveland; and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 14, 2008 from Barrett Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barbara Head officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008 and 12-2 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the funeral home.
