Wayne Herbert Patchell

Wayne Herbert Patchell, age 87, of Murrayville, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2025.

Wayne was born on February 14, 1938, to the late Herbert and Veronica Patchell. He was an avid artist and train enthusiast. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Coast guard and a member of Cleveland First Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Patchell; daughter, Kathy Howe; and son, David Patchell; granddaughter, Katie Howe.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Susie and Todd Crowder; grandchildren, Ronni Crowder, Randi Crowder, Joel Howe, Kurtis Howe, Travis Howe, and Emma Howe; son-in-law, Gordie Howe; 4 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 17, 2026, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Alexander will officiate. A livestream of the memorial service can be viewed at: https://youtube.com/live/iE0Q4X9azaI?feature=share 

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home, prior to the memorial service.
