Wayne Reid

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Wayne Edwin Reid, age 61 of Cleveland. Wayne passed away Friday, February 26, 2021. Wayne was born on November 23,1959 in White County to the late Albert Reid and Ruby Allen Reid. Following graduation from White County High School, Wayne set out to start his career as a professional truck driver where he was first employed with Williams Brothers Concrete in Atlanta. Later he would drive for Florida Rock and Tank, it was there that Wayne suffered a work accident forcing him to retire for a time. But as he healed the desire to be back behind the wheel grew and he once again drove professionally, finally retiring in 2014 from Morgan Concrete Wayne was a longtime member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church and is preceded in death by his wife Sheryl Roberts Reid. Wayne is survived by his sons, Alan Reid and Ben Reid, both of Cleveland and granddaughter Whitlee Jewell Reid; brother and sister in law, Walter and Brenda Reid, Cleveland.
