Willa Kay Conard

Willa Kay Conard, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Hiawassee on February 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ada Dills of Hiawassee. Mrs. Conard was retired from Orbit Manufacturing Company. She was a member of Mt. Yonah Baptist Church and she enjoyed and loved reading and studying her Bible. She enjoyed planting flowers and gardening. She also loved gospel music. She was a great and loving mother and grandmother known as Nannie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Conard; sons, Jimmy Conard and Bobby Conard; grandson, Jason Loggins; brothers, Raleigh Dills, Howard Dills, Floyd Dills; sister, Althera Sue Adams; brothers-in-law, Paul Parton, Tom Woods, and Ray Harry. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Belvia and Wayne Loggins of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Deborah and Edward Nelms of Cleveland, Georgia, and Carolyn and James Sosebee of Sautee, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Teresa Conard; several grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids; sisters, Ollie Parton, Helen Woods, Shirley Godfrey, Betty Clark, Faye Harry; brother-in-law, Ben Adams. Funeral services are 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Merck officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Yonah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Heffner. The family will receive friend at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday.
