William Alva Strickland

William Alva Strickland, age 63 of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Strickland was born May 6, 1947 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Dr. William A. Strickland Jr. and Wanda Green Strickland. He was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Strickland, Clarkesville; daughters, Lea Taylor, Buford; Rebekah Strickland, Portland, OR; parents, Dr. William and Wanda Strickland Jr., Overland Park, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Robert and Ellen Strickland, Winston-Salem, NC; brother, David Strickland, St. Louis, MO. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
