William Robert Foster

William Robert Foster, age 72 of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Foster was born July 25, 1942 in White County to the late John and Naomi Foster. He was Engineer for Scovill Manufacturing and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexandra Nicole Foster, brother Valden Foster and sister Jean Simmons. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Foster, Cleveland; children and spouses, Tracy and Michael Stephens, Mt. Airy; Shane and Media Foster, Clarksville; Steve Foster, Mt. Airy; Annette and Marty Bohannon; Demorest; Patricia Belford, Clarksville; Terry Moore, Cornelia; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Don Carpenter; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Heffner and the Rev. Dennis Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Zion Interdenominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the funeral home.
