William "Junior" Nelms

William “Junior” Nelms, age 71 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.   Mr. Nelms was born February 14, 1946 in Towns County to the late William Nelms Sr. and Evy Mae Benfield Nelms. Junior was a former custodian for North Georgia Technical School and worked for Ames Textile for 17 years. He was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church and in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Sue Welcome.   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Nelms, Cleveland; brother, Duel Nelms, Cleveland; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Eunita Nelms, Cleveland; sister, Opal Chastain, Sautee.   Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, October 2, 2017 at Macedonia United Methodist Church. The Rev. Garvis Kinsey and the Rev. Junior Robinson will officiate.
