William Lamar Hood

William Lamar Hood, age 68 of Cleveland, passed away on August 24, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Hood was born on January 20, 1947, in Cleveland, GA, to the late Wyman and Geneva Thomas Hood. He was a self-employed carpenter and a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. Mr. Hood was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Hood and Wayne Hood. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Hilda Hood, Cleveland; daughters, Rebecca, Michelle, and Leslie, all of Cleveland; son, Darrell, Cleveland; grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Caleb, Justin, Chelsea, Brianna, Kaila, Dylan, A.J., Eli, and Abby; great grandchildren, Jentry, Sierra, Fenley, and Clayton. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Junior Abernathy and the Rev. Eddie Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Full Gospel Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
