William Ray Long

William Ray Long, age 69, of Cleveland, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. Mr. Long was born on February 23, 1954, in Pensacola, Florida, to the late William Joseph Long and Ray Belle Gilpin Long. He moved to White County in 2010 from Pensacola, Florida, and was known by family and friends as “Corky.” He loved working with his hands and was a self-employed homebuilder. William had a special affinity for the University of Alabama football and had been attending their games since he was a child, being involved in every aspect of a true “Roll Tide” fan. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Connie Long, Cleveland; son, Aaron Shay Long (Cynthia), Pensacola; daughter, Gretchen Nicole Long, Clermont; grandson, William Edward Long, Pensacola. Friends and relatives are invited to drop in for a Celebration of Life on February 24, 2024, between the hours of 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Big Foot Event Center, 26 Carolina Springs Rd, Sautee Nacoochee 30571.
