William Lyndol “Mr. Bill” Dorsey” Mr. Bill went home to his God on Thursday, August 02, 2012, peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his loving wife, Barbara and his children, Rodney and Shanna Thompson, Randy and Claudia Thompson, William “Pete” and Hope Dorsey, Wendy and Casey Canup and Loyd Ellis Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren Carley, Tyler, Regan, Riley, Kamrie, Angelina and Nick; sisters, Daisy Dorsey and Miriam Lovell and many extended family and friends. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran proudly serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a loving father, beloved husband and grandfather and will be forever in our hearts. The family will receive friends at Barrett Funeral Home from 11 a.m.to 2:45 PM Saturday, August 4, 2012 prior to the service. Services will begin at 2:45 PM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Old Zion Cemetery Hwy 115, Cleveland, Georgia.
