William Vernon Matheson

Mr. Billy (W.V.) Matheson age 81 of Cleveland passed away Monday July 14, 2008 at Northeast GA Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Matheson was born in White County the son of the late Chesley and Cordell Sims Matheson. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 59 years, Verdie Matheson and daughter, Vernell Matheson. Mr. Matheson was retired from General Motors and a Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during World War 11. Survivors include daughter and son in law, Louise and Robert Dorsey, Cleveland; daughter, Linda Loggins, Cleveland; daughters and son in law, Melba and Dennis Dunn, San Diego, CA, Tammy and Marc Southwell, Sautee; son and daughter in law, Vernon (Spud) and Melba Matheson, Cleveland; sister, Barbara Westmoreland, Helen; grandchildren, Vernon Magness, Angela Caldwell, both of Cleveland; Regina Pimentel, Las Vegas, NV, Stuart Loggins, Cleveland, Shane Kinsey, Cornelia, Heather Ferguson, Cleveland, Morgan Dunn, Eric Dunn, both of San Diego, CA, Taylor Southwell, Shea Southwell, both of Sautee; great grandchildren, Shea Magness, Savannah Magness, both of Homer, Chelsea Caldwell, Cleveland; Christopher Pimentel, Austin Pimentel, Katelyn Pimentel, all of Las Vegas, NV., Mason Kinsey, Garrett Kinsey, both of Cornelia, Adeline Reynolds, Faith Ann Ferguson, Gage Ferguson, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Barrett Chapel with the Rev. Pete Martin officiating. Burial to follow at Chattahoochee United Methodist Church Cemetery.
