William Ross Palmer

William Ross Palmer, age 74 of Cleveland passed away Monday, January 09, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Palmer was born May 02, 1937 in Cleveland to the late Herschel and Sylvia Westmoreland Palmer. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by his son, Lamar Palmer, sister, Trudy Saxon, brothers, Ray Palmer and Nicholas Palmer. Survivors include his wife Janette Palmer; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Ellen Palmer; grandson, Nick Palmer, all of Cleveland; sister Geraldine Black, Sautee; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Helen and Tom Vaughn, Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Max and Evelyn Tomlin, Cleveland. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 11, 2012 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Merck and Dr. Joe Vernon will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
