William Howard Strickland

STRICKLAND – Mr. William Howard Strickland, age 98 of Gainesville, formerly of Alpharetta, died June 3, 2010. Mr. Strickland was born in Alpharetta to the late Luke Hardy Strickland and Mary Gazeway Strickland. He was retired from Delta Airlines and a member of Gainesville First Baptist Church. Mr. Strickland is survived by his children, Phyllis and Dr. Joe Vernon of Cleveland, GA, Mollie Cloud of Opelika, Ala.and Tommy and Jane Strickland of Dacula; sister, Dorcas Sexton of Zellwood, Fla.; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Dr. Joe Vernon and Rev. A. B. Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in memory of Mr. Strickland be made to your church.
