Willie Ruth Alexander

Willie Ruth Alexander, age 89, of Cleveland, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2019. Mrs. Alexander was born on July 4, 1930, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Vester and Maude Head Tomlin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Alexander; brother and sister-in-law, Hoyt and Eloise Tomlin, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, Charlie and Jessie Mae Alexander, Grover and Carmel Alexander, Lawrence Alexander and Margie Nell Alexander. She was a member of Zion Interdenominational Church. Mrs. Alexander retired from Talon and later worked at Kids Korner Day Care. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Cindy Alexander, Cleveland; daughter and son-in law, Judy and Rob Gillentine, Cleveland; brother in law and sister-in-law, Grady and Lois Alexander, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Opal Suggs, Baldwin; grandchildren, Amanda and husband Jeff Murray, Cleveland and Josh Alexander, Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Molly Mae, Cody, Dillon and Taylor Murray; special family, Dorinda and Mitch Marshall and family, Cornelia; special niece and husband, Elaine and Tony Cantrell and many other nieces, nephews, friends and family she dearly loved. A special thanks go out to the wonderful care given to her at The Oaks at Scenic View and Pruitt Health Hospice. A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 3pm at Zion Interdenominational Church. The Rev. Gary Heffner will officiate. Singing by Mike Lefevre.
