Willis “Bill” Franklin Cook, age 87 of Stone Mountain, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Emory Hospital. Mr. Cook was born January 7, 1927 in Atlanta to the late Oscar D. Cook Sr. and Rebie Austin Cook. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA and retired from State Farm Insurance Company. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Cantrell Cook and brother Oscar D. Cook Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Karen Cook, Stone Mountain; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Joy Cook, Lawrenceville; Ed and Connie Cook; John and Becky Cook, all of Lilburn; grandchildren, Nell Cook, James and Kristine Cook, Carrie Cook, Debbie and Jon Mason, Hannah Cook, Elizabeth Cook, Emily Cook, Charis Cook, Daniel Cook, Dorathea Cook, Alethea Cook; 4 great grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday, September 19, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Sautee-Nacoochee, GA. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 Friday at the funeral home prior to the graveside service. A Funeral service will be held 12 noon Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Berean Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12 noon Saturday at Berean Baptist Church prior to the funeral service.
