Wilma Carolyn Rogers

Wilma Carolyn Rogers, age 83, of Lula, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Mrs. Rogers was born on August 22, 1940, in Hall County, to the late Buford and Juanita Savage Satterfield. She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking apple pies and peanut butter cakes and sewing. In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her sisters, Joan Milford and Betty Sills; brother, Adrian Satterfield; brothers-in-law, Dennis Rogers, Walter Sills and Charles Kirby; sister-in-law, Virginia Satterfield. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, L.G. Rogers, Lula; daughter, Penny Stevenson, Murrayville; sons, Alan Rogers (Leslie), Lula, Eric Rogers (Elaine), Baldwin, Ashley Rogers (Jill), Lula; grandchildren, Andrew Stevenson (Ashley), Hannah Rogers, Rachel Rogers, Taylor Stevenson (Claire), Cody Rogers (Calah), Bayley Rogers (Kayla), Shelby Rogers, Maverick Rogers, and Karlee Rogers; great-grandchildren, Avery Kate Kidd and Jackson Dean Stevenson; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Danny Densmore, Cleveland; sister, Gwendolyn Kirby, Gainesville; sister-in-law, Irene Rogers, Gainesville; brother-in-law, Wesley Milford, Lula. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. The Rev. Kyle Savage and the Rev. Mike Irvin will officiate. Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
