Winnie Proman Weitman

September 18, 1931 — February 2, 2018

Winnie Iris Proman Weitman age 86, of Cleveland passed away Friday February 2, 2018.   Mrs. Weitman was born in Bryan County the daughter of the late Doy and Celeste Shuman Gill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Ronald Weitman.  Mrs. Weitman was a homemaker and owned and operated the Cotton Patch children’s clothing store in Cleveland.  One of her greatest accomplishment was being a supporter of her late husband, Dr. Ronald Weitman in his career at Piedmont College and later at Truett McConnell College.   Survivors include daughter and sons in law, Nancy and Mike Cruce, Lynn and Bobby Collins; grandchildren, Tyler Cruce, Kelli Cruce, Carter Cruce, Drew and Lindsey Collins, Clay and Chelsea Collins, Ashlee and Grant Campbell, Abby Collins; 5 great grandchildren.   Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday February 4, 2018 at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.  The Rev. Dennis Turner will officiate. Winnie’s family and friends are all invited to attend.   In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Camp Sunshine, 1850 Clairmont Rd.
